Quilt:    Ordination Stole- Ordinary Time

Quilt Recipient:    the Reverend JY

Saturday our Presbytery had the privilege of ordaining another amazing woman into the ministry.  Again I was commissioned to design and quilt a stole for her.

I pray that God’s joy and love accompany her in all her endeavours.  I pray that her congregation love and support her, that they partner with her in worshipping and serving the Lord.

Jeremiah 1:9 Then the Lord put out his hand and touched my mouth; and the Lord said to me, “Now I have put my words in your mouth.”

The stole you made was beautiful. Is this block paper pieced? When I first saw it, I thought origami…it is lovely!

Thank you for your kind comment. It is a paper pieced block. I down sized it a little (silly me) because I want to have 100 blocks in the finished quilt.

Wow! That is a big undertaking. I look forward to seeing more.

It will take awhile! Since these are souvenier blocks of quilts that I have made, I will have to finish 100 quilted projects first! 😀

My goodness, thats a whole lot of quilts! I like the idea tho. Are you using fabric from the original quilts? I have bits and pieces left over from the ones I have made, but never counted. Going to sit down this fall and tally them up!

I am using my two most favourite fabrics from the original quilts. Since most of these quilts have been given away, I will have them on display. Ambitious, I know.
